How can we help?
Answers to the questions we hear most. Can't find what you need? Reach the team with the form at the bottom.
Getting started
How do I start a new project?
From Projects (your home page), click New project and give it a title. Artist and genre are optional. Think of a project as one record, EP, or single in progress — everything for that release lives inside it.
How do I add a song?
Open a project and use Add track at the bottom of the track list. Type a title, and optionally attach an audio file right away. You can also rename a track later by hovering it and clicking the pencil.
Which audio formats can I upload?
On the Free plan, audio must be MP3. The Paid plan accepts any format. If a file is rejected, that's almost always the reason — convert it to MP3 or upgrade from Settings.
Versions & notes
How do I save a new version of a song?
Expand a track with the chevron on the right, open the Versions tab, and click Add version. Attach the new audio and jot down what changed. Your older takes are never overwritten — every revision stays. Use Set live to choose which version plays by default.
How do I reorder tracks?
Hover a row and drag the handle on the left into a new spot. The new order saves automatically, and track numbers always run 1, 2, 3… in the order you see them.
What are notes for?
Expand a track and open the Notes tab to leave to-dos or feedback (“re-do the second verse”, “vocals too hot”). Click a note's circle to mark it resolved. Any unresolved notes show as a small count next to the track title.
Can I keep lyrics with a song?
Yes. Write lyrics in the Notepad (in the top menu), broken into sections like verse and chorus. Then, in a track's Lyrics tab, link the matching notepad song to see the words right beside the audio.
Cover art
How do I add or change cover art?
Cover art is attached to a project's versions. Add art either when you Add version on the project, or by uploading an image to a row in Version history. To choose which one is displayed, hover the big cover and click Pick cover, then select a version's art — that becomes the project's current cover everywhere.
I changed the cover but still see the old one.
A refresh should now show the latest art immediately. If a cover ever looks out of date, reload the page; if it persists, send us the project name using the form below and we'll take a look.
Sharing
How do I share my music privately?
Click Share on a project. Choose which songs to include (only songs that have audio can be shared), pick a cover, add an optional note, and set when the link expires. You can copy the link or have us email it for you. Tracks you've deleted never appear in the share list.
What do the expiry options mean?
- Never — the link works until you turn it off.
- Plays once — it burns after the recipient opens it one time.
- After a while — it stops working once the timer you pick runs out.
Can I turn off a link I already sent?
Yes. Open Share again and, under Existing links, click Turn off. The link stops working right away, even if you already sent it.
Account, plans & trash
I deleted something by mistake — can I get it back?
Almost certainly. Deleted projects and tracks go to Trash (in the menu under your name) and can be restored for 30 days. After that they're permanently removed to free up space.
What are the plan limits?
Free includes up to 3 projects, 1 GB of storage, and MP3 uploads. Paid unlocks unlimited projects, 100 GB, and any audio format. Manage your plan from Settings.
How do I change my theme or manage billing?
Open the menu under your name (top right) and choose Settings. You can switch the appearance and manage your subscription there.
