Using Sonic Station means agreeing to these terms. They're short on purpose.
Your music stays yours
You keep every right to everything you upload. We claim no ownership of your work — we only need the technical permission to store your files and stream them back to you and to people you share a tape with. That permission exists solely to run the service and ends when you delete your work or your account.
What you agree to
Upload only work you have the rights to. Don't use Sonic Station to host anything unlawful, and don't try to break, probe, or overload the service. Accounts doing either can be suspended or closed.
Plans and billing
The free plan is free forever: up to 3 projects, 1 GB of storage, MP3 uploads. Membership is $6.99/month, billed through Stripe, and you can cancel anytime from Settings — you keep membership until the end of the period you paid for.
If you cancel, nothing disappears overnight. Every project stays put for 90 days; after that your three most recent projects stay active and older ones move to trash, where they wait another 30 days before being removed.
The service, as it is
We work hard to keep Sonic Station fast and reliable, but it's provided "as is," without warranties. Keep your own copies of irreplaceable recordings — you can download any project as a zip at any time. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you've paid us in the last 12 months.
Changes
